Shoot. I REALLY don't want to wake the babies for a feeding.

Maybe I will wake myself up a couple of times to pump. And I will make myself an appointment. This is yuck!Scott and Malisa Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10178671538039515965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17356277.post-57647692357639401552009-07-15T21:12:54.443-04:002009-07-15T21:12:54.443-04:00Hi Malisa,

It's HORRIBLE! about the 3rd or 4th time I got it a nurse told me that I should take Tylenol as soon as I started feeling it coming on. So the next time I did that and it really helped. Also, the warm compressions help and try to have the babies nurse as often as possible. I'm so sorry! Hope it goes away quickly!!!!Jillnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17356277.post-1679491316557034722009-07-15T20:38:33.731-04:002009-07-15T20:38:33.731-04:00Warm compresses are also lovely. You'll get that streaking with a true mastitis, and you'll need meds. (Not a doctor, but had a few cases of each in the 39 total months of nursing...)

You're on the right track with letting Eli go first. Try massaging the affected area while he nurses. This of course, requires the help of a good husband if your other side has a person on it, too!Meesh Hayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09007987010501930211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17356277.post-22372767885860417282009-07-15T15:15:17.520-04:002009-07-15T15:15:17.520-04:00Yikes. I have a friend who had an extreme case and ended up having surgery. Most of the time, they can treat you with medication. Good luck with feeding - I know it can be extremely painful.
